NRVMGA Plant Sale and Plant Clinic is Saturday, May 8th!
We’re back, better than ever. New River Valley Master Gardeners are hard at work, collecting, assembling and labeling a beautiful assortment of sun and shade perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs, fruits, trees, hanging baskets AND a yard sale of plant and gardening items including books, pottery and much more. Stop by Saturday from 9-2 at the Montgomery County Government Center.

- March 2 – Floyd Library, 2-4pm, Barbara Pleasant – (Nationally known garden writer and Floyd Wild Gardener) talks on “Planning a Productive Food Garden in Floyd”. - March 15 – Bedford (or via zoom) – 9:30am – 3:45pm – Grow the Good Life Seminar – Four experts will give presentations discussing various ways to discourage these unwanted, pesky critters from munching on and destroying your plants. Information will also be given on how to encourage beneficials in your battle. $30 via zoom, $40 in person (includes lunch) – registration and more information
- March 22 and 23 – Christiansburg, NRV Home Expo – Plant Clinic – we’ll be having plant clinics and plant giveaways. Link for more information $5 entry fee

Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center Garden Project

Visitors to the Animal Shelter are welcomed with an inviting landscape transformed by Master Gardeners Carol Trutt and Dianne Blount.

Special thanks to Dave and MG Diane Relf who donated their time, talents and materials to the project including a variety of plants and ironwork hearts that support these Black-eyed Susan climbing vines.
